Women’s History Month

1 minute read

March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of women throughout history. One field in which women have made significant contributions is health and fitness.

Women’s History Month is celebrated annually in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. It began as a national celebration in the United States in 1981 when Congress passed a resolution to proclaim the week of March 7 as National Women’s History Week.

The week of March 8 was chosen to coincide with International Women’s Day, which has been celebrated since 1911.

Women’s History Month is celebrated in the month of March every year to recognize the contributions of women throughout history. It is an opportunity to highlight the achievements and progress of women in various fields, including health and fitness.

Women have played a significant role in shaping the health and fitness industry, breaking down barriers, and paving the way for future generations. Let us highlight some of the most influential women in the health and fitness industry.
