What is a ‘Superfood’?
Superfoods are micronutrient-dense foods loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals, and/or essential nutrients. In other words, they have a high amount of micronutrients per calorie, such that they are great for our overall health. Some superfoods may be sources of nutrients that boost specific areas of health such as skin and hair, eyesight, immunity, and energy, to name a few.
You will find many superfoods in our Café as well as in the recipes we share. Eating superfoods won’t undo a ‘bad diet’, but they can help increase the consumption of key nutrients that positively affect health. Including superfoods in our daily diet is another potent way to Hit Health From Every Angle!
