We now have our 9th ExPo Ultimate Member who has completed 100 ExPo Ultimate Workouts.
We would like to congratulate Charles aka “The Farmer” on this big accomplishment!
Charles joined ExPo LIFE FITNESS the summer of 2021 with personal goals of removing lingering back pain, becoming stronger, losing a few pounds, and improving his overall fitness level.
Charles started out by learning, understanding, and performing a wide variety of functional exercise movements by ExPo instructors to increase strength, specifically on the posterior side of his body. He dedicated specific times during the week to receive personalized guidance by ExPo instructors in a 1:1 setting as well as coming into the facility to conduct self workouts.
After experiencing solid strength gains, mindset improvement, and decreases in body aches, Charles made the natural transition to the group class membership where he quickly became a favorite in the early morning sessions.
Like most members at ExPo LIFE FITNESS who have made a consistent commitment to their fitness, Charles has workout buddies that count on him to be present. Having the facility close to his residence is also a bonus.

The Friday workouts at ExPo are some of the toughest of the week and Charles would occasionally be ‘missing in action’ on this day. With some influence by ExPo and his workout buddies, he started making Friday mornings his time to shine to work on the areas he knows will benefit him for his longevity.
Did you know? Charles rounds out the last ExPo member in his regular time slot per day where every member has eclipsed over 100 Ultimate Workouts? Now that’s a fitness network!

When the weather permits, you can find Charles running up to the ExPo facility for his workouts due to its close proximity.
Everyone is on their own fitness path. Charles made the decision to create a new path because he knew change was needed. We all love ‘The Farmer’ as he is an inspiration to everyone.

What is Your Most Memorable Moment Over the Past 100 Workouts?
Charles: I workout in the mornings, normally in the 5:30 a.m. classes. In one of the workouts, I was doing the Battle Ropes for time with proper form and technique. I was really struggling and I was about to give up.
The other people in my group started to cheer me on, telling me to keep going and that I got this. It immediately motivated me and gave me extra energy to keep going and resulted in a record time for me.
Everyone I have worked out with at Expo has been extremely nice and very supportive and it creates an atmosphere that keeps me coming back every day.
This is truly a great gym!
What is Your Favorite ExPo LIFE Workout and Why?
Charles:It actually is so funny to say this, but I love the Core workout on Tuesdays and its evolution into Core Cardio.
If you asked me 9 months ago, this would have been my least favorite workout especially since I couldn’t really do a plank or even attempt to complete those dreaded Expo Rolls. Now this is my favorite day.
Strengthening my core has resulted in eliminating 100% of my back pain and I feel better and stronger overall.
What Are You Most Proud of After Conducting 100 ExPo Ultimate Workouts?
Charles: I am happy I decided to walk into Expo that day last year and commit to starting my fitness journey with Brad and Lisa.
Even though there are some areas that I have room for improvement in (the Bike and Friday Glute day), I am proud of the friendships I have made and of the support network around me at Expo.
As I stated, everyone is very supportive and it truly is a great environment that makes me want to come back every day.
What Motivates You to Stay on Your Fitness Path and What Advice Can You Give Others to Jumpstart Their Own Fitness?
Charles: I had heard about Expo, but I was not sure of what they could do for me. I was a member of another gym, but it didn’t really offer me anything other than equipment.
From a personal standpoint, I had been having consistent back pain and just overall didn’t feel great, and I had attributed it to just getting older. However, I decided to walk into Expo and talk to Brad.
From the minute I walked in, he told me Expo was committed to help me achieve my fitness goals and he was adamant he could help me achieve my goals. Obviously, my main goal was to eliminate my back pain and to just feel better.
Brad put together a work out plan for me that showed immediate results. He immediately convinced me of the value that Expo provides and from that point on, I was 100% all in.
